Participants of the 2021 Graduate Program will experience:

  • three rotations over an 11-month program, commencing February 2021
  • the opportunity to provide preferences for two of the rotations
  • an intensive and engaging development program
  • a comprehensive calendar of learning and development, networking events and activities
  • the opportunity to produce and present a major project by collaborating with other graduates
  • a mentor and buddy program to help develop new skills and help you align your experience and knowledge with the agency.

During your graduate year, you will work in three areas of our agency. The rotations structure allows us to give our graduates a wide range of experiences. By working across business areas, graduates develop an understanding of the agency's work in the administration of climate change policies and regulation of carbon and renewable energy markets.

Throughout the program, you will be provided with the necessary training and development required to be effective in your role and to provide you with the foundation skills required to launch your APS career. Through participation in the program, graduates will gain relevant knowledge and skills in government administration as well as the expertise required to be an effective technical specialist within the Clean Energy Regulator.

In addition to formal training, you will also receive individual support from Buddy's (former Graduates), Mentors and from the Graduate Coordinator. As a graduate, you will also have the opportunity to be involved in events management for the agency's social club.

If you are seeking a rewarding career opportunity that offers challenging and rewarding work in administering legislation that will reduce carbon emissions and increase the use of clean energy, then we look forward to your application.
