Lots of efforts and communications about this lately. Coles innovation and nurture funds have assisted in this. A recent coffee cup recycling station has been set up and have been very successful. Solar panels to power supermarkets is another large project in the works

Coles' has diverted aprox 1 billion pieces of plastic away from landfill and be recycled, further to this the own brand team has reduced Salt in our private label products by over 100 million KGs a year. Following this, Coles has also signed a deal with solar panels and will be able to power a states worth of stores (I believe, may need to be fact checked)through solar power.
