IBL Program: Engineering Support Assistant

Our 2019 IBL Program will expose you to real jobs, real experiences and real learning which will allow you to gain valuable workplace experience relevant to your chosen field of study.

Key Responsibilities:
As the Mercedes-Benz Bus Engineering Support Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in the development of the Mercedes-Benz Bus product range and all product related activities in support of the business unit's sales and profit objectives. Key tasks will include assisting in the maintenance of product systems, providing technical support to the factory ordering team including responding to technical questions, supporting the Sales and Application Engineer to generate and revise technical drawings and supporting the Product Planning Team by assisting with the development of business cases and vehicle specifications, collating industry data and researching industry trends and developments.

You will need to commit to full-time office hours until end of January 2020.

What we are looking for:
You are an undergraduate student currently completing your second year or have at least one year of your tertiary qualification remaining in an Engineering related discipline (as at January 2019), and have a strong interest in business operations and continuous improvement. You possess exceptional interpersonal, organisational and time management skills, and an advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite. You will have high attention to detail and be diligent when working with complex documents. As this is a varied role, you will be flexible in your approach, eager to learn and happy supporting numerous colleagues.
