Pros and cons of working at Mainfreight AU

Pros

  • Mainfreight has a great culture. The Ready Fire Aim mentality allows graduates to own what they do and take responsibility of their ideas and careers. The subsidised cooked lunches are a great tradition as well.

  • Travel, learning, accelerated development, no bureaucracy, hard work is noticed - smart work is rewarded.

  • The workplace culture, the support and the team.

  • The people, the fact they give you opportunities if you put in the work.

  • Best thing is our Team Culture. Everyone has to pull together to get the jobs done. Being able to talk freely to BMs and GMs is also really cool and rewarding.

Cons

    • Work/Life balance can be tough to maintain. No worse than many other jobs in the private sector though.

    • Slow progress of moving into your desired role in the workplace.

    • Sometimes the hours can get the better of you but the team is always there to pick you up when you lose your mojo.

    • The pay for a graduate is not as high as other companies.

    • Time spent on the depot floor.
