About Woodside

Woodside has a focused portfolio and is recognised for our world-class capabilities as an integrated upstream supplier of energy.

The climate is changing, and it’s up to all of us to respond. Woodside is committed to being part of the solution. We share the global aspiration of the Paris Agreement to contain global warming well below two degrees, and our goal is to be carbon-neutral by 2050.

We are supplying more natural gas to meet growing energy demand as the world decarbonises. We are also taking action to limit our direct emissions, and thinking ahead to the changing energy mix.

Technology and innovation are essential to our long-term sustainability. Today, we are pioneering remote support and the application of artificial intelligence and advanced analytics in our business. Technology also features in Mia Yellagonga, our state-of-the-art campus in Perth, Western Australia. Mia Yellagonga has a six Green Star rating, advanced wellness features and a variety of workspace choices.

Our success is driven by our people, and we aim to attract, develop and retain a diverse, high-performing workforce.

Pros and cons of working at Woodside Energy AU

                      Pros

                      • I am surrounded by amazing people on my team who are caring and nurturing and always there for me. They care for me both professionally and personally.

                      • Great peer group and networks, learning development support and visibility to senior leaders.

                      • Very high level of responsibility given to graduates in Subsea and Pipelines. There are plenty of opportunities to go offshore and on site to learn. Professional development is valued.

                      • The level of responsibility which is entrusted to graduates makes them strive to perform at higher levels.

                      • Flexibility in role. Great variety of roles available in company. Open to developing different skills. Very good and friendly culture.

                      Cons

                        • Roles and experiences can vary between graduates.

                        • Currently Woodside is an Australian company with the majority of its interests limited to Australia. However, I anticipate this will change as the company expands globally over the next 5-10 years.

                        • Bureaucratic. Lack of support from senior engineers - due to their heavy workload, not from lack of trying.
