We have an outstanding base business of world-class assets and strong growth prospects – plus the experience, capability and vision to make things happen. As Australia’s premier LNG operator, we produce 6% of global LNG supply. Our producing LNG assets in the north west of Australia are among the world’s best facilities, renowned for their safety, reliability and efficiency. We are creating an integrated LNG production centre on the Burrup Peninsula in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Our exploration plan focuses on established, emerging and future growth hubs in Australia, Myanmar, Senegal, Gabon, Peru and Bulgaria.

We will play our part in the global response to climate change by continuing to provide reliable and sustainable energy in a lower-carbon future. Our contribution includes reducing and managing our own emissions, and developing new markets for LNG to displace higher-emissions fuels.

What our students can expect

Woodside is proud to participate in the Indigenous Advancement Strategy. As such, we provide work placements to eligible candidates through our Indigenous Summer Vacation Program and this plays an important role in building our long-term technical and leadership capabilities. 

We’ve been recruiting and developing students and graduates for more than 30 years, and we’re proud to be rated as a top-ten employer by the Australian Association of Graduate Employers.  We recognise the value of connecting with students earlier in their studies. Our Indigenous Summer Vacation Program is a chance for us to get to know you, and for you to apply your growing knowledge to our business.  

Our program runs full-time for 12 weeks (4 weeks for Accounting students), and we offer:

• Extensive on-the-job training, where we pay you for real, meaningful work
• Consideration for additional government funding for those who are eligible, to assist with your course fees and textbooks.
• Early consideration for our 2021 Graduate Development Program for those in their penultimate year of study, so you can line up a job before you complete your studies
• Access to a vibrant community of students and recent graduates. You'll have a dedicated current graduate as a go-to support person while you're on the program
• Active employee community groups for gender equality, reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians, and LGBTI+ staff and allies.
