CQUniversity Australia (CQU) Courses

Prospective students must satisfy at least one of the following criteria to enrol in this course:

• a completed bachelor degree in any discipline from an Australian university or college or equivalent and three years relevant business or professional experience; or
• a recognised diploma and three years relevant business or professional experience; or
• a CQU Graduate Certificate in Business or Management or equivalent from any Australian or equivalent university or college, plus three years of work experience; or
• a minimum of five years relevant managerial or professional experience.

NOTE:

All prospective students must attach a current Curriculum Vitae or Resume to their application.

International English Language (IELTS Academic) overall band score of 6.5 (with no individual band score of less than 6.0) will be required for students seeking entry to this course.

ALL students seeking entry to the MBA following the successful completion of the Graduate Diploma will require a minimum of three (3) years relevant work experience in order to be admitted. Please refer to the entry requirements and range of credits for other Masters courses as listed in individual handbook pages.

Applicants are required to provide evidence of completion within the last 5 years of:

• a secondary qualification (Year 11 and 12, or equivalent), or
• bachelor level qualification study for a period of at least 2 years fulltime with a minimum overall GPA 4.0

completed within Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom, South Africa, Ireland, or United States of America, which will meet the English proficiency.

If you do not satisfy any of the above you will need to undertake an English language proficiency test and achieve the following scores as below:

• An International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic) overall band score of at least 7.0 overall with a minimum 7.0 for Reading and Writing and 7.0 for Speaking and Listening, or
• An Occupational English Test with Grades A or B only in each of the four components.

English test results remain valid for no more than two years between final examination date and the date of commencement of study, and must appear on a single result certificate.

English Requirements:

If you were not born in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa or United States of America, you are required to meet the English Language Proficiency requirements set by the University.

Applicants are required to provide evidence of completion of:

• a secondary qualification (Year 11 and 12, or equivalent), or
• tertiary diploma level qualification, or
• bachelor level qualification study for a period of at least 2 years fulltime with a minimum overall GPA 4.0

completed within Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom, South Africa, Ireland, or United States of America, which will meet the English proficiency.

If you do not satisfy any of the above, you will need to undertake an English language proficiency test and achieve the following scores:

• An International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic) overall band score of at least 6.0 overall with a minimum 5.5 in each subset; or
• Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) - Requires 550 or better overall and minimum TWE score of 4.5 (Paper Based Test), or 75 or better overall and no score less than 17 (Internet Based Test); or
• Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) - Requires an overall score of 54 with no sub-score less than 46; or
• An Occupational English Test with Grades A or B only in each of the four components; or
• Cambridge Certificate in advanced English (CAE) - Score of 180 or above; or
• Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English - Score of 200 or above; or
• Combined Universities Language Test (CULT) - 70% with no individual component score of less than 15.

English test results remain valid for no more than two years between final examination date and the date of commencement of study, and must appear on a single result certificate.

Senior English and a Science subject.

• a completed Bachelor of Paramedic Science or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years unsupervised operational clinical experience; or
• a completed Advanced Diploma or Graduate Diploma or equivalent in an advanced paramedic field such as aeromedical, critical or intensive care plus 2 years unsupervised operational clinical experience at this level

Graduate Diploma of Paramedic Science (Critical Care)

To gain entry to this course, students must have:

- A non-accounting undergraduate degree in any discipline from an Australian university, or equivalent from an overseas institution; or

- An AQF equivalent accounting bachelor degree received from an overseas institution or organisation, that does not meet accreditation with an Australian Accounting registration body for associate membership purposes, or

- A minimum of five years of relevant accounting experience, or

- A minimum of ten years of relevant business experience.

Relevant business experience is considered to be any experience in the conduct or administration of a business enterprise.

There are no recommended study requirements.

Audition and interview

Students are encouraged to study performing arts units during their senior school years. Private tuition in performing arts is also encouraged. Entry to this course is by audition and interview. Students should follow the audition requirements for this course as outlined on the CQUniversity website.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for entry into this course, students must have:

• a bachelor degree or equivalent qualification; or
• a recognised diploma and a minimum of two years of relevant communication and information technology experience; or
• a minimum of five years of relevant communication and information technology experience:

* secondary and post secondary certificates;

* evidence from employer (past and present) on company letterhead.
