Admission into this course is subject to supervision and resource availability. Students already enrolled in the Master of Psychology (Educational and Developmental) who have completed Year 1 with a Distinction average across all subjects and were admitted to the Master with a minimum of Second Class Honours - Division A (HIIA) or equivalent may be eligible to transfer to the combined degree.

The Master of Theology (Research) is a higher degree by research that can be undertaken either by thesis or by coursework and thesis.
Entry Requirements

A candidate for the degree of Master of Theology (Research) must comply with the Research and Professional Doctorate Degree Regulations.

To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed:

  1. an undergraduate degree in Theology (or equivalent) with Honours at a minimum level of Second Class Division A; OR
    1. a Master of Theological Studies with a distinction average or higher in THEL623 Theology Project C and THEL619 Introduction to Theological and Philosophical Research (or equivalent); and
    2. a specialisation in one of the theological disciplines, or philosophy as it relates to theology.

Meeting the requirements for admission is not in itself a guarantee of admission. The candidate's potential to undertake research, the quality and feasibility of the research proposal, the availability of appropriate supervision and the referee's reports will all be taken into consideration.

This is the combination of the Master of Teaching (Early Childhood and Primary) and the Graduate Certificate in Religious Education.
Entry Requirements

An applicant must also comply with the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy.

To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must:

  1. have successfully completed a Bachelor degree or equivalent qualification, with:
    1. subject content studies equivalent to one year of full-time study in one or more learning areas of the primary school curriculum; including
    2. subject content studies equivalent to one quarter of a year in a selected subject specialisation of English or Mathematics.
  2. demonstrate suitability for teaching as evidenced by completion of an assessment available in the relevant State at the time of application.

Applicants who completed Bachelor degrees outside Australia should review Admission to Coursework Programs Policy to determine if they are required to meet additional English Language Proficiency requirements for entry into the course.

Applicants seeking teacher registration in Australia should check with state registration bodies to confirm English Language Proficiency requirements for teacher registration.

2. Additional Approvals

All students enrolled must have the appropriate approvals before they may enter a classroom.

International students must provide a police check from their home country. All students who have lived in another country for twelve months or more must provide a police check from that country for that period.
