This course will provide you with the skills and knowledge needed for an exciting and enriching career as a teacher, activity specialist, adventure guide or expedition leader in diverse educational contexts. You'll undertake professional studies in education, geography, outdoor recreation, ecotourism, outdoor education, environmental education, environmental science, communication and leadership.

Entry requirements

Applicants for the Bachelor of Outdoor Education must meet the following admission requirements: A completed High School Certificate (or equivalent) with an ATAR of at least 65 or 60 if eligible for the Regional Bonus. OR Accredited post-secondary school studies, Certificate 4 or higher, completed through a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) or university that demonstrate to the Faculty a reasonable prospect of success through the Grade Point Average (GPA) achieved AND (if applicable) English Language Proficiency entry requirements for International students from non-English-speaking backgrounds, which consist of an overall IELTS (or equivalent) score of 7. 5 (with no score below 7 in reading and writing, and a score of no less than 8 in speaking and listening). NOTE: Please refer to relevant National or State employing bodies for their English language proficiency requirements when seeking employment. Please note: during your application, you will need to complete a short questionnaire on behalf of the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership, who accredit this course.
