Charles Sturt University (CSU) Courses

Applicants without a tertiary qualification may be admitted to the Graduate Certificate of Information Technology on the basis of professional attainment and/or work experience.   Upon successful completion of the Graduate Certificate, students will then be eligible for admission to the Master of Information Technology and receive credit for applicable subjects.

Master of Applied Finance (with specialisations) For entry to the Master of Applied Finance applicants are required to have an undergraduate degree from a recognised Australian tertiary institution (or equivalent). Applicants without a tertiary qualification may be admitted to the Graduate Certificate in Finance on the basis of professional attainment and/or work experience. Upon successful completion of the Graduate Certificate, students will then be eligible for admission to the Master Applied Finance and receive credit for applicable subjects. Graduate Diploma of Finance Applicants without a tertiary qualification may be admitted to the Graduate Diploma of Finance on the basis of professional attainment and/or work experience. Upon successful completion of the Graduate Diploma, students will then be eligible for admission to the Master of Applied Finance and receive credit for applicable subjects.  Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning Applicants without a tertiary qualification may be admitted to the Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning on the basis of professional attainment and/or work experience. Upon successful completion of the Graduate Diploma, students will then be eligible for admission to the Master of Applied Finance and receive credit for applicable subjects.  Graduate Certificate in Finance Applicants without a tertiary qualification may be admitted to the Graduate Certificate in Finance on the basis of professional attainment and/or work experience. Upon successful completion of the Graduate Certificate, students will then be eligible for admission to the Master Applied Finance and receive credit for applicable subjects.

Master of Customs Administration Applicants for the Master of Customs Administration should hold: an undergraduate degree or equivalent from a recognised university or tertiary institution, or a Graduate Certificate in Customs Administration from Charles Sturt University or an equivalent postgraduate award, or a Graduate Diploma of Customs Administration from Charles Sturt University or an equivalent postgraduate award. Graduate Diploma of Customs Administration Applicants for the Graduate Diploma of Customs Administration should hold: an undergraduate degree or equivalent from a recognised university or tertiary institution, or a Graduate Certificate in Customs Administration from Charles Sturt University or an equivalent postgraduate award. Graduate Certificate in Customs Administration An undergraduate degree or equivalent from a recognised university or tertiary institution.   Students without a tertiary qualification may be admitted to the course if they can demonstrate they have a minimum of three years' appropriate work experience in Customs or a related private/public sector area.   Applicants must have English language proficiency to the minimum requirements set by the University.

Applicants for the Master of Theology must meet the following admission requirements: hold a Bachelor degree in Theology (or AQF equivalent) OR have obtained a Credit average or higher in a Graduate Diploma of Theology (or AQF equivalent) in Theology or Divinity.

Master of Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorist Financing An applicant for admission to candidature for a Master of Anti Money Laundering and Counter Terrorist Financing shall have an appropriate Bachelors degree from an Australian university or equivalent overseas tertiary institution, taken over a minimum of three years (full-time equivalent). or Complete all of the requirements of the Graduate Diploma in Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorist Financing at a credit level or above or an equivalent graduate diploma completed at an Australian university or overseas equivalent.  Graduate Diploma of Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorist Financing A degree in a relevant field or its equivalent in professional experience and qualifications are required. Examples of equivalence include police service detective training and more than three years investigative experience; or more than three years industry experience and associated industry training in a non-police Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorist Financing role. Master of Business Administration (with specialisations) For entry to the Master of Business Administration 12 subject course applicants are required to have: * an undergraduate degree from a recognised Australian tertiary institution (or equivalent) in a business discipline OR * an undergraduate degree from a recognised Australian tertiary institution (or equivalent) in ANY discipline and relevant work experience. Applicants with an undergraduate degree from a recognised Australian tertiary institution (or equivalent) in a non-business discipline who do not possess sufficient work experience may be admitted to the MBA 16 subject program and will be required to complete four additional specified business subjects as part of their degree. Applicants without a bachelor degree qualification may be admitted to the Graduate Certificate in Commerce on the basis of a combination of: * prior post secondary study and/or professional attainment, and * significant relevant work experience. Upon successful completion of the Graduate Certificate, students will then be eligible for admission to the Master Business Administration and receive credit for applicable subjects. Master of Business Administration (128 point) For entry to the Master of Business Administration 16 subject course applicants are required to have an undergraduate degree from a recognised Australian tertiary institution (or equivalent) in ANY discipline. Applicants without a bachelor degree qualification may be admitted to the Graduate Certificate in Commerce on the basis of a combination of: * prior post secondary study and/or professional attainment, and * significant relevant work experience. Upon successful completion of the Graduate Certificate, students will then be eligible for admission to the Master Business Administration and receive credit for applicable subjects.

Bachelor of Environmental Science and Management (Honours) CRITERIA FOR TRANSFER TO HONOURS STREAM Transfer to honours stream can be made only after the satisfactory completion of 2. 5 years, for students with credit average and above, or at the discretion of the course director. Bachelor of Environmental Science and Management A completed High School Certificate with an ATAR equivalent of 70 (including adjustment factors) or equivalent. OR A completed AQF Certificate IV or higher level qualification. OR 50% completion of an AQF Diploma level qualification. OR A completed Tertiary Preparation Course from an Australian University or an accredited provider demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success through the Grade Point Average (GPA) gained in these studies. OR Successful completion of two university level subjects (AQF level Associate Degree or higher) demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success through the Grade Point Average (GPA) gained in these studies. OR Work experience, within the same industry as the course profile, of at least two years full time or equivalence, demonstrated by a detailed resume. Master of Cyber Security For entry to the Master of Cyber Security applicants are required to have an undergraduate degree in the IT area. Applicants without an undergraduate degree may be admitted to the Graduate Certificate in Cyber Security on the basis of professional attainment and/or work experience. Upon successful completion of the Graduate Certificate, students will then be eligible for admission to the Master of Cyber Security and receive credit for applicable subjects.
