CQUniversity Australia (CQU) Courses

Students must have completed English (4, SA), or equivalent.

If you were not born in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa or United States of America you are required to meet the English Language Proficiency requirements set by the University. Applicants are required to provide evidence of completion of:

• A secondary qualification (Year 11 and 12, or equivalent), or a
• Tertiary diploma level qualification, or a
• Bachelor level qualification study for a period of at least 2 years fulltime with a minimum overall GPA 4.0 completed within Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom, South Africa, Ireland, or United States of America, which will meet the English proficiency. If you do not satisfy any of the above you will need to undertake an English language proficiency test and achieve the following scores as below.
• An International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic) overall band score of at least 6.0 overall with a minimum 5.5 in each subset; or
• Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) - Requires 550 or better overall & minimum TWE score of 4.5 (Paper Based Test), or 75 or better overall and no score less than 17 (Internet Based Test); or
• Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) - Requires an overall score of 54 with no sub-score less than 46; or
• An Occupational English Test with Grades A or B only in each of the four components; or
• Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) - Score of 180 or above; or
• Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English - Score of 200 or above; or
• Combined Universities Language Test (CULT) - 70% with no individual component score of less than 15.

English test results remain valid for no more than two years between final examination date and the date of commencement of study, and must appear on a single result certificate.

It is recommended that potential applicants also complete either Biology, Chemistry or Physics to a Yr 12 level.

There are no entry requirements for this qualification, although a Certificate III Business or other relevant qualification or vocational experience is recommended.

There are no entry requirements, however it is highly recommended that students have attained a Sound Achievement (SA) result in Year 10 numeracy and literacy subjects or equivalent prior to enrolling in this course. Online students undertaking this course will need to participate in work placement or attend campus practical activities where available to fulfill the practical requirements of this course.

There are no entry requirements for this course however, students will traditionally come from entry level leadership positions in Management or Business.

This course is for apprenticeship training only. Students must be employed as apprentices in a relevant industry.

Applicants must be registered with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a registered nurse in order to undertake the course. Applicants are also required to have an undergraduate degree for acceptance into the course. Recognition of prior learning will be assessed on a case by case basis.

CK30 Bachelor of Midwifery (Graduate Entry) students must hold a current and valid registered nursing licence with AHPRA to be considered for entry into the course and ongoing enrolment in the degree. It is a course requirement that all students maintain their AHPRA nursing registration for the duration of the course. Students must immediately report any professional investigations into their nursing practice and employment, and/or any restriction or suspension of their AHPRA registration to CQUniversity.

Admission into this course is determined via the presentation of a folio. The folio will be presented prior to or at an interview conducted with visual art teaching staff. For admission into this qualification, individuals must have the technical and organisational skills to conceptualise and create works in selected media. These skills and contextual knowledge may have been acquired through experience in creative practice or through formal study.

Your folio should include:

• Works that show your current level of ability
  
• Works in range of different media (if available)

This course is not designed to provide basic technical skills and contextual knowledge.

Also required is completion of the Basic Key Skills Builder (BKSB) online literacy and numeracy assessment prior to enrolment, unless the student has completed an equal or higher level course.

There are no entry requirements for this course, however, it would be beneficial if applicants have successfully completed a Certificate III level qualification or have completed Year 10 or equivalent with a sound achievement in English or possess relevant work or life experience in the business or justice fields.
