The Bachelor of Business prepares you for the challenges of an Australian Defence Force (ADF) career by developing key business management skills. The Master of Strategy and Security is designed for postgraduate scholars and foreign affairs, security and defence professionals who want to gain a deeper and more advanced understanding of the factors shaping the global and Asia-Pacific security and strategic environments, as well as the complex policy challenges presented by the Australian government's new security agenda. Among these are issues around international relations, non-state actors, regional and international security regimes, strategic planning, diplomacy and intelligence, traditional and human security, contemporary and historical conflicts, and the role of armed forces.

Telecommunications explores how information is transferred from one point to another, whether it's high resolution images of a distant planet, or massive bandwidth video-on-demand flying across the internet. Telecommunications engineers design, develop and maintain all aspects of voice and data communications systems. This specialisation within the field of Electrical Engineering is concerned with all aspects of theory and applications for a broad range of systems such as telephone and data networks, radio and TV, satellites and deep space applications. To get you work ready, you'll apply these skills through 60 days of approved industry training.

If you want to work in aviation but not necessarily as a pilot, or already have industry experience and want to further your qualifications, this is the degree for you. It shares a common academic core with the flying stream, but instead of flight training you do a range of courses in management areas such as operations management, aviation economics, law and regulations, airline marketing and safety.

The Master of Space Engineering is designed for those who wish to develop a high-level understanding of the principles and practices of engineering related to space systems and to strengthen their skills in this area.

This degree explores the best ways to make use of renewable energy technologies, including solar thermal systems, photovoltaics, wind and biomass. It borrows much of its structure from other areas of engineering, drawing resources from all around UNSW into a consolidated degree supporting learning for this growing industry. About half of what you study in this degree is common with Photovoltaics & Solar Energy, but it looks beyond the sun as a source of energy, encompassing a wider range of technologies and their uses. It also addresses the important areas of solar architecture and the design of energy-efficient buildings and appliances. Take your studies to the next level with this one-year Honours degree. Suitable for high achieving students upon completion of an undergraduate pass degree in Arts, International Studies or Social Research and Policy, the Honours year will further develop your analytical and research skills in your chosen discipline of study.

The Master of Engineering Science provides the opportunity to acquire high-level understanding and advanced analytical skills in areas that span the engineering disciplines as well as project management incorporating those disciplines. There is strong emphasis on extending undergraduate skills and vocational experiences to enable graduates to apply high-level understanding to real-world complex engineering problems. It is a very flexible degree where students can acquire knowledge in different areas in engineering.

The Master of Business (MBus) aims to develop excellent managers for the public, private and not-for-profit sectors including defence. It provides students with an advanced understanding of the concepts and principles that underpin effective management, business decision making and leadership as well as analytical skills they can use throughout their career. The degree combines a core set of business courses. The Strategic Management course is considered a capstone component and students can also select other subjects related to their interests. The degree has the option to do a research-based project that will lead to future research-focused degrees.

This exciting degree focuses on the science and practice of air and space flight; the design, development, testing and production of aerospace vehicles; the maintenance and operation of aircraft; and aerospace research. Our Aerospace Engineering degree focuses on airborne vehicles to meet future employment prospects in Australia (like aerodynamics, flight mechanics, propulsion and structures). The Master of Data Science degree explores more ways to organise, identify, analyse and ultimately use data to inform strategies, redefine ambiguous questions and find answers that make a genuine impact.
