• BSBWHS413 Contribute to implementation and maintenance of WHS consultation and participation processes
• BSBWHS414 Contribute to WHS risk management
• BSBWHS415 Contribute to implementing WHS management systems
• BSBWHS416 Contribute to workplace incident response.

This course is available to students who have a good first degree in any Humanities discipline.

Please note: Entry to the course is dependent on supervisor availability and is subject to approval by the Head of Course.

To be eligible for entry into this course, applicants must demonstrate one of the following:

• A completed Bachelor of Paramedic Science, or equivalent, with 1 year clinical operational experience at a minimum level of Advanced Care Paramedic; or
• A completed Bachelor of Nursing, or equivalent, with 1 year relevant clinical experience as a Registered Nurse; or
• A completed Diploma in Paramedic Science plus 1 year of unsupervised clinical operational experience; or
• Current or past employment as an ADF Combat Medic or Police Medic; or
• Current employment in a relevant field as well as evidence of a completed short course in Tactical Medicine.

Employment and clinical experience must be demonstrated by providing a letter of employment or statement of service, listing duties undertaken and length of time employed in the relevant position. Letters of employment must be presented on employers letterhead, signed and dated by a delegated authority within the organisation.

English Language Proficiency Requirements:

Applicants are required to provide evidence of completion of:

If you do not satisfy any of the above you will need to undertake an English language proficiency test and achieve the following scores as below:

• An International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic) overall band score of at least 6.0 overall with a minimum 5.5 in each subset; or
• Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) - Requires 550 or better overall & minimum TWE score of 4.5 (Paper Based Test), or 75 or better overall and no score less than 17 (Internet Based Test); or
• Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) - Requires an overall score of 54 with no sub-score less than 46; or
• An Occupational English Test with Grades A or B only in each of the four components
  

There is no recommended pre-study required for entry into this course.

The following factors are taken into account in selection and admission of candidates:

• Academic record - GPA minimum 5.0 in the final two years of a Bachelors degree

• Availability of an appropriate supervisor/s - you will need to identify supervisor/s during the application process, please see "more details" tab for information on potential supervisors.

• Agreement between you and the nominated supervisor/s on a suitable dissertation topic - you will need to identify the preliminary topic of your project during the applicaiton process, please see "more details" tab for information on available projects.

• The lapse in time since you qualified for the award of a Bachelors degree.

Graduates who have completed a relevant undergraduate degree or equivalent and who meet the aforementioned requirements are encouraged to apply for entry into the Bachelor of Science (Honours) course. Candidates whose levels of achievement fall below these admission requirements for any particular year, may apply to the school concerned for special consideration of their application.

It is recommended that students wishing to apply for entry into the CG84 Bachelor of Science (Honours) course have completed prior studies in one of the following fields:

• Agricultural science
• Analytical science
• Biology
• Chemistry
• Environmental science
• Exercise / sports science
• Molecular science / Biotechnology
  
• Medical science
• Paramedic science

Please note this is not a comprehensive list, and students who have obtained a Bachelors degree in other fields may apply for entry into the CG84 Bachelor of Science Honours course.

A completed 3 year Bachelor Degree, or equivalent, in one of the following areas of study:

Degrees completed in a related field will be assessed for compatibility with the Masters on a case by case basis by the School.

Completion of the bksb (Basic Key Skills Builder) online literacy and numeracy assessment prior to enrolment, unless the student has completed an equal or higher level course.

Ability to complete Vocational Placement component for the duration of the qualification within 100 hours.

To be eligible for entry into the Master of Business Administration applicants must have one of the following:

• A completed bachelor degree in any discipline from an Australian university or college, or equivalent, or

• A completed graduate certificate or graduate diploma from an Australian university or college, or equivalent, or

• A recognised diploma and two years relevant business experience, or

• Five years of relevant work or managerial experience

Relevant work experience should include an understanding of how a business operates, which includes a working knowledge of a range of areas such as human resource management, budgeting, project management, financial reporting, process management or other relevant professional experience.

Note: Consistent access to a mentor, with significant managerial work experience, is recommended to advise you throughout the MBA journey to provide an important crossover into 'real world' business. Such guidance will assist you to make the transition into becoming a world class manager and leader.
